Shopping may not be your thing, but it is ours.

When asked, most men say that they hate shopping because it’s time-consuming and frustrating.

More often than not, they end up spending money on the first item they see because they do not want to spend their day browsing through clothing racks. They ultimately end up going home with apparel that is ill-fitting, uncomfortable, and unflattering.

We think that is a shame.

We provide men with a new shopping experience - one they can actually enjoy and walk away from feeling satisfied.

A Lindsay Staple

If you hve visited downtown Lindsay, you have undoubtedly seen our main street location (and noticed the handsome suits in the window!). Though it originally opened up in 1967 in Port Hope, we have been a Lindsay gem since 1985.

How we got here

It is a second-generation family run business, changing hands from father to son in 1981. After operating the business out of its original location for four years, current owner Greg Nisbett and his brother-in-law moved to Lindsay when the opportunity to purchase Henry Houzer Men’s Wear came up. Houzer’s, with its prodigious history and large inventory of menswear, was absorbed into the Nisbett’s Clothier brand. While the Port Hope location closed its doors in the 1990’s, the Lindsay storefront has continued strong.

Though some things have changed, you can still expect the same level of care and expertise that made us such a hit in 1967.

We’re passionate about men’s fashion and it shows in the service we provide. Whether you are in the market for a tailored suit or casual clothes, we will make sure you leave with an outfit you love and feel confident in.
